Spice Box Shiraz
A medium to full-bodied Shiraz with spicy black pepper, dark plums on the nose and a juicy finish.
Grapes are sourced from vineyards in the Piekenierskloof region. These trellised vineyards grow on sandy loam soils where yields are meticulously managed, yielding down to below 6 tons per hectare. Grapes were picked by hand and cold-soaked for 24 hours. Fermentation was then initiated with selected yeast strains and kept under 26°C. Malolactic fermentation was completed in the tank, after which the wine was left to mature for 6 months in American and French oak.
